You can probably guess this story was originally going to be longer, but I eventually realized I was spending a lot of time on a story arc that wasn’t really important and accomplished very little that my first Pokemon story didn’t already do better, so I trimmed some stuff down here. Personally I think it’s better this way. Why waste my time on a full page where two Pokemon Rivals meet and battle when I can sum it up in just one panel in the end? I’m pretty sure you get the same experience both ways. And you know how these kinds of experiences tend to almost always have a name.
