Starting a new branch wasn’t easy. Not many people were willing to relocate, or at least not to some small town in the middle of nowhere. Not to mention they had to do all the planning and stuff by hand back then, and there’s only so much you can transmit through radio. Some stuff had to be sent the old fashioned way. This made training new people a bit stressful as the months approached Christmas. Things were hard for the North Pole branch for a good couple of years, but they made it all work out somehow. Usually through musical numbers that derailed their schedule even further, but Sylvester loved musicals.
