What you see here is my original idea for the Halloween special. I thought it up way back during last year’s Halloween, but getting the site up and learning how to draw comics regularly took a bit longer than I thought and I missed my chance. In the end I managed to compress the overall plot into this one comic and replace the serious half of the story with a joke at the end. If you’re curious what this removed half was like, don’t worry, you already know it. The plot was very quickly remade into the Santa Sarah storyline (good god, were my doodles really that bad?). In retrospect, the story makes much more sense as a Christmas one and this little tribute goes well with my much bigger anniversary special, so it all worked out in the end! We shall now celebrate with cream pies.

The weird growths on his hand in panel 4 are much more interesting.
Some say he was infected with the dreaded fingeritis disease. It’s only noticeable from up close but it’s a hideous sight to behold.
