I think I’ve mentioned it before, but these cloud backgrounds always give me trouble. I feel bad drawing angel characters in front of blank cloud backgrounds, but it’s hard making them interesting. I’m still not 100% sure how this setting works half the time, but at least I can have a weird park of disk benches on a blank blob and have it make sense.
OCD count: 112
The only other commentary I’ve heard on cloud backgrounds was along the lines of “Oh god this saves me so much time I’m gonna draw clouds on everything!” So I guess at least you’ve got a better attitude about it.
Panel 6 made me contagiously yawn. Then I re-read the comic to take a closer look at the backgrounds (I really like panel 3), and yawned again. Gotta stop looking at panel 6… *yaaaawn*
“I’ll lend the
minemy copy…” [“mine” is only used before vowels and silent h; otherwise it’s “my”]“I
recommendethrecommend some background music…” [“-eth” is the third person singular suffix; first person singular has no suffix]“I
thinkeththink Icoulds’tcould do that.” [“-eth” as above; “-(e)st” is second person singular. (You could also use “methinks” in place of “I think”]“…’tis Sleepy Time Radio,
thynethy place for naptime muses.” [“thine” behaves as “mine”: only used before vowels and silent h, otherwise “thy”.]I’m sorry, but I’m OCD about proper older English. Don’t worry, though: I’ll only correct you this one time.
I think the moment I had an angel say “Dude, shut up” was the moment I gave up on having accurate old english.
