Every year I do a Pokemon special, even if it’s just a page or two, and every year it feels weird since I’ve stopped using these non-canon out of universe settings years and years ago, but none of the other ones roped me into an annual August tradition or something. I suppose it still has its place though, even if that Pokemon tag becomes increasingly less Pokemon-related as time goes on.

Maybe they’re characters in the main universe’s version of Pokemon, thus making them both canon and not canon simultaneously in some sort of quantum canon duality.
