After I started drawing this arc, I realised it is very very hard to imitate bad 70s animation rather than just doing bad art. I don’t think I succeeded in this regard, and also don’t know if there is an easy way to convey this type of joke in comic form. I don’t know why this show always has convenient blank spots at the bottom half of the screen for subtitles, but it all works out in poorly drawn comic rules. What more could I ask for?

I can identify with Monsieur Licorice. Like him, I enjoy eating, and discouraging strangers from talking to me. Unlike him, I’ve never tried combining the two in such a direct fashion.
A lot of the panels remind me of the battle screens from dragon quest.
