Despite a seemingly calm era lasting a good while, things took a sour turn for the North Pole branch once Santa Sarah took over. Simone’s son Simon tried to turn her and her father against the Elf Council through a few terrorist attacks and hijackings. Sarah went missing for a year and the security of the North Pole headquarters was called into question. Eventually the Council had to intervene, and eventually a new Santa was chosen. The North Pole branch would no longer house Santa.
With most of their duties transferred to the new Santa branch, the North Pole branch was assimilated into the Dixie branch, which still houses the Elf Council headquarters. Still, it was a bit of a bummer, the thing that happened five minutes ago, but I’m sure they’ll all be fine.
