If I had fans, I’d like to have them argue about my characters and their motivations. Cause clearly Wallace secretly wishes he could be the one with cool sunglasses but doesn’t want to clash with Vera’s style. You can’t have TWO people with sunglasses. That’d be ridiculous. But I’m sure someone would argue against that, and I think that’s beautiful.

I headcanon Wallace as being jealous of Silas’s beard far more than Vera’s sunglasses. Like, he’d give up those lucious locks in exchange for that sweet facial hair.
It’d be okay if all elves wore sunglasses, because at the North Pole you get that 24-hour-sunlight thing, so sunglasses would be kinda thematic. But then Vera wouldn’t stand out. Maybe Wallace’s plan now is to adopt sunglasses as a tribute after her gruesome death, because I don’t foresee Vera as sitting in a bed looking back fondly over her life at age 90.
