Everyone loves wacky doctors. They make real doctors seem disappointing. Just once I’d like my physician to go ahead and offer me an “I’m sorry” lolipop from an empty jar or introduce me to my surgeon when I have a flu. It makes the hospital experience more memorable.
Another interesting thing I came across with this comic is the fact that sometimes a comic is best with no backgrounds, just joke. I could’ve put a receptionist desk or some X-rays in the background, but none of it looked as good as the badly drawn Fruit people. Maybe I should somehow become even lazier and avoid backgrounds more often.
or maybe you could just use them in some panels as a plot device
