I hope you all enjoyed Sock Week. I had fun doing the exact same joke three days in a row, because that’s how I roll. Be thankful I’ve perfected my wonderful style, cause things would be so different if I hadn’t.
- Fruit Incest is a serious documentary about the behind the scenes production of colourful cupcakes.
- Yours truly Miss Hedgehog spends her time as a professional podcast scheduler.
- Wally the Whale is a relatively unknown circus performer best known for speaking out against the current circus economy before changing careers.
- Nerdy barbarians on WordPress spend their time commenting on a local blog about the everyday antics of a homeless street artist.
- “Relatively Fresh” is the catchphrase of an online dating service. They were made fun of for their use of relationship ceilings before being forced to switch to the less catchy “You’ll remember this one.”
- Bowling alley snacks never got the appreciation they truly deserve. The sports bar gods wept for days.
- The FIniverse still exists but as a badly drawn webcomic about Foundation Ingredients.
I wonder what Dr. Cortex has been up to what with Crash out doing these various shenanigans.
Perhaps he should organize them better than a giant pile, just so that it’s easier to tell when socks go missing?
I don’t like to nitpick (okay, that’s not true. I love to nitpick; I just don’t like being a jerk about it. So take this in a tone of friendly criticism), but the geometry of the room and its contents comes off as odd to me. I think it’s largely the combination of the last two panels. From Nosferabbit’s position in #4, the window in #3 should be on what is the left wall in #4, but that doesn’t seem to be far enough back to match the view in #3 (where it looks like it’s across the room) and would probably require the corner be visible in #3 as well. And then, from Crash’s position and angle in #4, it seems like he would have had to run right by Nosferrabit between #3 and #4, which, while not impossible, just reads somewhat strange to me.
Sorry for the wall of text. Like I said, I’m trying to be helpful, not mean. I wouldn’t bring it up at all if it hadn’t struck me right away that something was odd (though it took a bit to figure out exactly what it was). And maybe it’s just me processing it the wrong way, and it looks fine to everyone else.
Now I feel bad about raining on your 750th comic parade.
I didn’t want Crash next to an empty wall so I had him in front of the window and then run past Nosferabbit to the door across the room to avoid having the same blank wall all four panels. Might not have been the best placement but I never was great at drawing rooms. They always turn into empty boxes somehow. I’ll try to work on that in the future.
